Temperature Specifications

Max. permissible coil temperature
Highest temperature of the coil allowed to occur during operation of the relay.

Ambient temperature
The temperature of the surroundings immediately surrounding the relay.

Min. ambient temperature
The minimum ambient temperature is the miniumum operating temperature for which the relay is intended. This temperature should not be undercut.

Max. ambient temperature
The maximum ambient temperature is the maximum operating temp erature for which the relay is intended. This temperature should not be exceeded.

Permissible ambient temperature in operation
The permissible ambient temperature in operation is the temperature range in which the relay may be operated.

Room ambient temperature (RT)
A standardized value for the ambient temperature. In most data books ambient temperature means 23 °C ± 3 °C.

Upper limit temperature for the coil
Maximum coil temperature during operation wh ich does not reduce the specified lifetime of the relay in a certain application.
